Cameras in the courtroom?

Herewith a story about a New Zealand military hearing arising out of operations in Afghanistan. What's remarkable is that it includes video taken in the course of the hearing (with the accused's face electronically concealed). The charge--negligently failing to ensure that targets would be visually identified when ordering the emplacement of a booby trap--was dismissed after a five-hour hearing. The accused officer was granted permanent identity suppression.
